Project Manager

. Your role

As Project Manager in the Event Concept & Management area you take on overall responsibility for several demanding and complex event projects at the same time – from the first client briefing through conception, pitch and calculation to on-site delivery and the commercially successful project close.

You are the central contact for our clients, lead the respective internal project teams and combine creativity, organization, leadership and strong commercial thinking.

In doing so, you are responsible not only for the quality and successful delivery of your projects, but also for their budgets, commercial performance and profitability.

. Your tasks

• Overall responsibility for several parallel and complex event projects from the inquiry to the successful project close
• Strategic and conceptual development of client briefings as well as leading concept, pitch and presentation processes
• Central client leadership and professional consulting throughout the entire course of the project
• Building, leading and motivating internal project teams as well as clearly delegating tasks, responsibilities and priorities
• Ensuring professional, appreciative and solution-oriented collaboration as well as clear internal project communication
• Selecting, negotiating with and managing external partners, vendors and relevant trades
• Overall responsibility for project calculations, budgets, margins and commercial performance, including ongoing cost controlling
• Managing complex project, production and time schedules and ensuring quality, timings and budgets
• Overall responsibility for the on-site delivery and leading all involved teams and partners on site
• Proactive risk and solution management as well as confident decision-making even in demanding project situations
• Responsibility for post-calculation, accounting and a commercially successful project close

. Your profile

• A degree or training in event management, business administration, marketing, communication or comparable
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in an event and agency environment
• Proven experience in independently leading complex events and several parallel projects
• Proven experience in leading and managing internal project teams
• Strong leadership and communication skills as well as a modern, appreciative and at the same time clear leadership style
• The ability to bring different personalities together, to delegate responsibility sensibly and to lead teams confidently even in demanding project phases
• Very strong business understanding and a high affinity for numbers, with confident handling of larger project budgets, calculations, margins and cost controlling
• A strong understanding of event conception, aesthetics and staging
• A confident, consulting-strong appearance towards clients and decision-makers as well as a high level of personal responsibility and decisiveness
• Very good command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, as well as confident use of Canva and Adobe
• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
• High willingness to travel and to work on site
